Customer Service Representative

Job Description:

Under supervision of the Service Department’s Senior Customer Service Representative, will provide excellent customer service with Benicia Plumbing’s incoming residential and light commercial plumbing clients.  This individual is an important “face” of Benicia Plumbing and will be responsible for retaining present and acquiring new customers.  The Benicia Plumbing Customer Service Representative will incite actions of prompt service, diffuse, troubleshoot and offer viable solutions to an issue, obtain a track number such as a Purchase Order (if applicable), schedule the work, accurately document the work performed before and after, and promptly follow up with Service Technicians in obtaining formal sign offs of the work performed and communicate with the customer of the work having been completed.  

Duties:

  • Effectively prioritize, trouble shoot and dispatch the best available Service Technician for the work discerned
  • Maintain received plumbing inventory from vendors on special orders
  • Return received plumbing parts from Service Technicians to vendors
  • Initiate and remain current with office management technology and new plumbing products
  • Assist and maintain compliance with the CSLB for all service warranty work provided and endure Service Technicians are up to date with HIS licensing renewals and current issues
  • Maintain communication with the Service Department Business Manager, Operations Manager and possible Operations Foremen regarding any re-occurring issue

Requirements:

  • Pass a drug screen
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Meet Insurance Company requirements for driving company vehicles

M-F, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
40 hrs./week
Office location = Benicia

Skills:

  • Able to speak, read and write English; speaking Spanish is a plus 
  • Able to bend, kneel, crawl, stoop, climb ladder, lift and carry loads to 60 lbs.
  • Proficient use of email/radio/cell/smart phone/Profit Rhino and Sage Construction 300 Service Management as a constant form of communication with customer and to the Service and Repair Department personnel
  • Able to work with others
